Join Cosplay at Mason in watching your favorite characters from video games, anime, and more come to life and take the main stage of the Center for the Arts! It’ll be a fantastic showcase of craftsmanship, and personal expression that our competitors have poured their hearts into!  

Entry is open to all! Cosplays do NOT have to be handmade, although your creativity is highly encouraged! Prizes awarded will be 1st ($200), 2nd ($100), and 3rd ($50) place. We can’t wait to return for another year! We hope to see you there.

George Mason Esports Tournament Details

Super Smash Bros. Melee Tournament

We’re excited for the GAMEMason 2021 Super Smash Bros. Melee tournament!
This is a 2-day, entry free tournament which will start on Friday, April 16th @ 6:00 PM and then conclude with semi-finals and finals on Saturday, April 17th @ 12:30 PM at GAMEmason.
Take a chance at having your Melee skills shown off on one of our streams and compete for a chance to win some cool prizes including an Amazon Echo Dot, a Chromecast, and an RGB mousepad!

General Admission tickets:
  • Mason students: one free general admission ticket with a valid Mason ID
  • General Public: $20 general admission

*A general admission ticket includes access to area for arcade games and merchandise, GAMEmason gaming spaces and sponsored exhibitions, concert hall for tournaments and keynote speakers, and educational sessions.

VIP Access tickets: 
  • Masons students: $20 with a valid Mason ID
  • General Public $40 ticket

*A VIP Access ticket provides access to all of the above, plus meet-and-greets, autograph signings, VIP seating in the Concert Hall, as well as a GAMEmason t-shirt and GAMEmason 2020 collector’s item.


Ticket Pick Up:

Tickets for Mason Students can be picked up at the Center for the Arts Ticket Office or the Student Involvement Office in HUB 2300.

Tickets for the general public and VIP Access can be purchased in person at the Center for the Arts Ticket Office, online at cfa.gmu.edu, or over the phone at 703-993-2787. Online and phone sales subject to service charge.

Student Involvement Offices Hours: Monday-Friday 9:00am to 9:00pm


Registration:

On March 20th, beginning at 10:00am, bring your ticket and Mason ID to the Center for the Arts Ticket Office to register for the event. Redeem your ticket to receive a wristband and lanyard.

Join us for an in-depth discussion about how to support black girl gamers! Topics to include racism, sexism, diversity, and inclusion. This is an open discussion for anyone who is interested in having a thoughtful and engaging conversation about how racism and sexism intersect for black girl gamers.
