Interest Group Spring 2017

The Interest Group process are for those organizations who want to go through the PSO Process in Fall of 2017. This is not required but allows organizations to have access to some resources for recruitment, constitution drafts and support before going through the process below. Prospective Student Organizations (PSO) Fall 2017

PSOs are now only allowed to be Tier 1 or Tier 2.  After being registered for one year during your first re-registration you will be able to move to a Tier 3 if that is desired.

PSO Application Requirements

PSO Application Submission Steps

To become a registered student organization, a PSO must complete the following steps:

Monday, August 7th – Thursday, September 7th at 11:45pm (EST)
  • GetConnected PSO application available
  • *All executive board members who are enrolled longer than one semester must have a 2.0 GPA or above in order to serve as an executive board member and acknowledge that in order to verify this requirement, their GPA will be reviewed by the Assistant Director of Student Organizations and Student Government
  • President must complete the application and submit it via Get Connected (the timestamp of submission must be before the deadline)
Thursday, September 7th, 2017
  • Attend mandatory preliminary meeting with RSO Lead Team member
Monday, September 11th – Friday, September 22nd at 11:59pm (EST)
Monday, August 21st – Friday, September 22nd
  • Fiscal Management 1.5 (in-person) trainings begin. President and Treasurer must attend (For more information and to register to attend a training,
    see the Fiscal Management page of website)
  • Please note to your presenter that you are a Prospective Student Organization
