Interfraternity Council Spring Fraternity Recruitment
February 2nd – 6th

IFC Recruitment Kick-off, on Monday Feb. 2nd between 10am and 3pm in Dewberry Lobby.
- Stop by Dewberry Lobby (Ground Floor of the Johnson Center next to Starbucks) to meet members of our 15 IFC fraternities and learn about their upcoming recruitment events.
All Interfraternity Council Fraternities will be hosting recruitment events throughout the beginning of the spring semester.
Multicultural Council Intake & Recruitment Process:
MGC intake & recruitment processes are determined by each individual chapter
National Pan Hellenic Council Intake Process:
NPHC intake is determined by each individual chapter
NOTE: Potential members must have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0 to be eligible for membership in a Recognized Student Organization. Many organizations will have a higher GPA requirement or Credit requirement to be eligible for membership.
Thank you for your interest in fraternity & sorority life at George Mason University. As you begin your search to find the right home we encourage you to take the following things into consideration:
Consider the potential to build long lasting relationships with members of the organization. Ask yourself if these are men that you would want to invite to your wedding one day. Many alumni members have valued their relationships so much that years after graduation they come together to celebrate each other’s weddings.
Consider the values of the organization. Careful consideration of the values and mission of the organization will allow you to make a connection with a group of individuals that share your values. Living up to the high ideals of fraternity & sorority life can be challenging and very rewarding. Working together and living under the same values as others can help you become a stronger individual.
Consider the reputation of the organization. Remember once you join you will always be associated with that organization.
As you take these things into account we want to encourage you to ensure you gain as much information about fraternity & sorority life as possible in order to help you make an informed decision.
